Adams & Martin Group is working with an innovative, large law firm in Santa Monica seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to join their team

You will play a key part in delivering legal services across commercial real estate acquisitions, finance, leasing, and development.

The firm will consider currently-employed candidates on a permanent basis, but will also move quickly for those interested in beginning in a temporary capacity on the desk.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate documentation and closing processes for real estate transactions, including sales, purchases, leases, and mortgage financing
  • Conduct due diligence for complex real estate matters, including the review of title commitments, title documents, and surveys
  • Draft, edit, and prepare transaction documents, closing sets, loan documents, correspondence, and other legal materials
  • Manage pre-closing preparations and post-closing follow-up to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Perform legal research using statutes, regulations, and electronic research platforms such as Westlaw and Lexis
  • Record documents with various Recorder's offices
  • Communicate with clients, counterparties, and internal teams via written, verbal, and electronic communication
  • Track and release time entries on a daily basis
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Demonstrated experience supporting all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including title and survey review, due diligence, document drafting, closing, and post-closing
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously
  • Sharp attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
  • Clear, professional communication skills-both written and verbal-with internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
  • 6-10 years of experience in real estate transactional work, including title and survey projects
  • Ability to travel periodically, as needed
